{"id":21432,"date":"2020-11-07T08:48:17","date_gmt":"2020-11-06T22:18:17","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.tennis.com.au\/sa\/?p=21432"},"modified":"2020-11-13T12:37:36","modified_gmt":"2020-11-13T02:07:36","slug":"elderton-tennis-classic-to-be-held-in-the-barossa-this-weekend","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.tennis.com.au\/sa\/news\/2020\/11\/07\/elderton-tennis-classic-to-be-held-in-the-barossa-this-weekend","title":{"rendered":"Elderton Tennis Classic to be held in the Barossa this weekend"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>The fourth annual <strong>Elderton Tennis Classic<\/strong> will be held in the <strong>Barossa Valley<\/strong> tomorrow. <strong>Elderton Wines<\/strong>, in conjunction with <strong>Tennis SA<\/strong> and <strong>Nuriootpa Tennis Club<\/strong>, will host the Elderton Tennis Classic on <strong>Sunday 8 November 2020<\/strong>.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The tournament will see 64 players take to the courts at Nuriootpa Tennis Club with Olivia Ley and Oliver Douglas returning to defend their 2019 crowns in the \u2018Here to Win\u2019 category, with a \u2018Here to Wine\u2019 division also on offer. Finals will be played on the Elderton Wines Cellar Door grasscourt on Sunday afternoon. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cWe are thrilled to have received a record number\nof entries for this year\u2019s Elderton Tennis Classic,\u201d said <strong>Cameron Ashmead,<\/strong>\nCo-Managing Director of Elderton Wines. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cWe are very much looking forward to welcoming the\nteams to the event this weekend and encourage spectators to join us for what\nshould be a wonderful day of tennis.\u201d <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cTennis SA is proud to support the Elderton Tennis\nClassic,\u201d said <strong>Debbie Sterrey,<\/strong> Tennis SA CEO. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cAfter what has been a difficult year, we are\npleased to see that so many teams have registered and are looking forward to a\nfun day on court. We wish all teams the very best of luck.\u201d <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Elderton Cellar Door will be open from 11.00\nam-4.00 pm, with the spectators welcome to attend the tournament from 12.30\npm-5.00 pm. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>A variety of activities will be on offer, including\nthe Tennis SA inflatable and ANZ Tennis Hot Shots.
