Seven finalists are set to lead South Australia at the upcoming 2019 Newcombe Medal, Australian Tennis Awards,<\/strong> following the announcement of finalists earlier today.<\/p>\n

The annual awards ceremony will take place on Monday 2 December at the Crown Palladium in Melbourne, recognising the outstanding contribution of the wider tennis community.<\/p>\n

South Australia is set to be represented in seven out of a possible 14 categories.<\/p>\n

Sam Wall<\/strong> from Coromandel Valley Tennis Club has been announced as a finalist for the Coaching Excellence Development award, for the third year in a row.<\/p>\n

Following an outstanding 12 months, Amber Marshall<\/strong> is a finalist for the Junior Athlete of the Year – Female, while Roger Davey<\/strong> has been announced as a finalist for the Most Outstanding 35+ Tennis Senior.<\/p>\n

The South Australian Foundation Cup<\/strong> held in Berri has been confirmed as a finalist for the Most Outstanding Australian Ranking Tournament and the City of Playford Tennis International<\/strong> will be looking to claim the title of Most Outstanding Professional Tournament.<\/p>\n

Elizabeth North Primary School<\/strong> will be vying for the Most Outstanding School award and Henley South Tennis Club\u2019s Darren Wunderer<\/strong> is a finalist for the Volunteer Achievement Award.<\/p>\n

Tennis SA CEO Debbie Sterrey<\/strong> is proud to announce an outstanding list of South Australian finalists.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe are thrilled to congratulate our seven South Australian finalists,\u201d Sterrey said.<\/p>\n

\u201cThese individuals, organisations and events contribute to the sport of tennis in South Australia in a variety of different ways. The passion, determination and enthusiasm is to be commended and today\u2019s announcement is thoroughly well deserved.<\/p>\n
