{"id":16002,"date":"2018-10-19T15:37:41","date_gmt":"2018-10-19T05:07:41","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.tennis.com.au\/sa\/?p=16002"},"modified":"2018-10-19T15:37:41","modified_gmt":"2018-10-19T05:07:41","slug":"tennis-sa-announces-ken-mcgregor-fund-and-elderton-wines-partnership","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.tennis.com.au\/sa\/news\/2018\/10\/19\/tennis-sa-announces-ken-mcgregor-fund-and-elderton-wines-partnership","title":{"rendered":"Tennis SA announces Ken McGregor Fund and Elderton Wines partnership"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Tennis SA is proud to announce a partnership between the <strong>Ken McGregor Fund <\/strong>and<strong> Elderton Wines.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Elderton Wines are set to sponsor the <strong>Ken McGregor Fund Regional Tennis Player Scholarship. <\/strong>This scholarship will support regional players with the travel costs associated with coming to Adelaide to train within the structure of the State Academy and National Academy, these programs are focused on the needs of the student-athletes who compete at or want to compete at an elite level.<\/p>\n<p>Located in the Barossa Valley, Elderton Wines has been a local family owned business since 1982. A producer of some of Australia\u2019s most famous wines including its renowned Command Shiraz. Today, Elderton is run by second generation brothers Allister and Cameron Ashmead who have just opened one of the world\u2019s most unique cellar doors, which amongst its facilities has a stunning lawn tennis court. Both brothers love the game of tennis.<\/p>\n<p>Tennis SA is also proud to support the <strong>Elderton Tennis Classic<\/strong> to be held on Sunday 11 November. A FAST4 mixed doubles tournament, with qualification rounds to take place at Nuriootpa Tennis Club, before the finals are held on the Elderton Grass \u2018Centre Court\u2019 at Elderton\u2019s Cellar Door.<\/p>\n<p>The Ken McGregor Fund was established by Tennis SA to assist our next generation of disabled and able bodied international tennis players.
