At number one singles The Drive\u2019s Melanie Clayton outlasted Seaside\u2019s Selina Turulja in three sets. The Drive\u2019s Melissa Beadman and Lucy Steinberner continued their strong season with wins at 2 and 4.<\/p>\n<p>Maggie Pearce managed to register Seasides only singles win with a straight set win over young gun Alana Repanich. The Drive only needed one set in the doubles to clinch the tie and move through to the State League Grand Final.<\/p>\n<p>Goodwood will meet Seaside in the preliminary final after they had a resounding four rubber to two win over Kingswood. Goodwood\u2019s Tayla Whitehouse was too strong for Yasmin Glazbrook at top single while Natasha Russell was too consistent for Tiana Glazbrook. This was followed by wins at number 3 and top double.<\/p>\n<p>Trinity\u2019s men have beaten Tea Tree Gully convincingly to move through to the Grand Final. Trinity number one Li Tu got his team off to a strong start when he overcame Tyson Devine 6-1 6-1. Trinity Gardens veteran Andrew Tavella followed suit when he defeated young gun Dale Nixon 6-4 6-3.<\/p>\n<p>Trinity\u2019s experienced double combinations got them over the line when they both registered first set wins not allowing Tea Tree Gully a look in.<\/p>\n<p>Tea Tree Gully will now face Collingrove who managed to edge out Kingswood men in similar fashion to Trinity Gardens.
