Hahndorf 1-22<\/em><br \/>\nRound 9 of the girls\u2019 Junior State League commenced at Seacliff, with the home side matching up against Hahndorf.\u00a0 \u00a0It was the premiership favourites getting off to a sensational start with Adams (9-3), Harper (9-2), Bennet (9-7) and Glavas (9-1) all winning their singles.\u00a0 Adams and Harper continued the trend in the top double winning (6-3), however, Hahndorf would finish strongly, with Tobin and Smith taking the second double (6-4).\u00a0 Hahndorf will need to regroup next week if they are to stay in the top four, while Seacliff are looking ominous and seem destined to remain a top of the ladder for the remainder of the season.<\/p>\n<p><em>West Lakes 3-43 def. Happy Valley 3-31<\/em><br \/>\nA close match took place across at West Lakes Tennis Club, with the home side doing battle with Happy Valley.\u00a0 First up was the Happy Valley captain Heidi Evans getting her side off to a strong start with a (9-6) win in the top single.\u00a0 West Lakes then bounced back with Chloe Schwarz (9-3) and Anne Marie-Savas (9-3) getting the win playing some great tennis.\u00a0 Caitlin Nancarrow then made it two rubbers a piece with a nail biting (9-8) win over West Lakes Shania Carmichael.\u00a0 Evans and Weatherall then put Happy Valley\u2019s nose in front with a close (7-5) win in the top double, but Savas and Antoniadis brilliant display in their double (6-0) got West Lakes over the line winning by 12 games.\u00a0 \u00a0The loss means Happy Valley don\u2019t have a lot of room for error, while West Lakes now draw ever closer to a top 4 spot and will be keen to carry on that momentum next week.<\/p>\n<p><em>Peake Gardens-Riverside 2-28 def. by Goodwood 4-41<\/em><br \/>\nGoodwood had the short trip across South Road to take on Peake Gardens-Riverside.\u00a0 Ashlee Shield got Peake off to an excellent start, with a (9-3) in the top single.\u00a0 Williams (9-2) and McColl (9-0) then returned serve for Goodwood with good wins.\u00a0 Piper Khouri (9-8) the won a close one to even the ledger heading in to the doubles at two rubbers a piece.\u00a0 From here Goodwood showed their class with Gillam and Williams (6-4), and McColl and Kentwell (6-4) showing the value of the doubles with some great tennis and giving Goodwood a 4-2 victory.\u00a0 The win was very valuable for Goodwood, putting some daylight between them and Peake Gardens for that second spot on the ladder.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Junior State League Boys Round 9<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><em>Coromandel Valley 6-48 def. Glenunga 0-0<\/em><br \/>\nUnfortunately for Glenunga, going up against the best team in the comp when you are depleted makes it very difficult to get the win.\u00a0 Douglas, Sanderson and Mascione were all dominant for Coro in the singles.\u00a0 Furthermore, that trend continued in the doubles.\u00a0 Van Rensburg and \u2018The Glue\u2019 Sanderson were superb in the doubles not dropping a single game.\u00a0 Glenunga will be keen to get their full strength squad back asap to keep their finals chances alive, while Coromandel Valley are making it seem like daylight will come second at this stage.<\/p>\n<p><em>Seacliff 6-48 def. Peake Gardens-Riverside 0-15<\/em><br \/>\nSeacliff have been gathering momentum since the early rounds and that continued with their home match against Peake Gardens.\u00a0 Bianchet (9-1) continued his great form, while Daminato (9-4), Koeroessy (9-1) and Cerone (9-5) all put on solid displays giving Seacliff a singles clean sweep.\u00a0 The doubles continued in the same fashion with Bianchet and Daminato (6-3) getting it done in the top double, and Koeroessy and Cerone (6-1) too good in the second.\u00a0 Seacliff now find themselves in second spot, while Peake need to get back in the winners list to stay in touch with the top 4.<\/p>\n<p><em>Hahndorf 6-48 def. Seaside 0-11<\/em><br \/>\nSeaside travelled up to the beautiful Adelaide Hills to take on Hahndorf, with the home side getting their first win of the season in emphatic style!\u00a0 Crawford led from the front (9-4) for the home team, with Pienaar (9-2) and Crawford-Sandison (9-4) also getting it done.\u00a0 In the doubles Crawford and Pienaar were dominant for Hahndorf with a great win (6-1) that will no doubt give them some confidence.\u00a0 Seaside, while depleted, had a down week and will no doubt bounce back.\u00a0 Hahndorf will be wanting to continue this momentum to try and make a late charge towards the top 4.<\/p>\n<p><em>Tea Tree Gully 0-14 def. by Trinity 6-48<\/em><br \/>\nTea Tree Gully matched up against Trinity, and unfortunately for the home team, their missing players were too much to cover against the quality of Trinity.\u00a0 Waterman was superb at the top for the away side with a (9-4) win.
