{"id":12231,"date":"2017-02-13T14:42:54","date_gmt":"2017-02-13T04:12:54","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.tennis.com.au\/sa\/?p=12231"},"modified":"2017-02-13T14:44:21","modified_gmt":"2017-02-13T04:14:21","slug":"jack-pizzey-cup-championship-selection-information","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.tennis.com.au\/sa\/news\/2017\/02\/13\/jack-pizzey-cup-championship-selection-information","title":{"rendered":"Jack Pizzey Cup Championship Selection Information"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The 2017 School Sport Australia Tennis Championships (Jack Pizzey Cup) will be held at Shepparton, VIC from Saturday 29 April to Sunday 7 May.<\/p>\n<p><strong>&gt; <a href=\"https:\/\/www.decd.sa.gov.au\/teaching\/sport\/forms\/interstate-school-sport-ssssa\" target=\"_blank\">Nominate here<\/a>\u00a0<\/strong>before Friday 3 March.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Selection information<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Students must be 18 years and under as of 31 May 2017.<\/p>\n<p>Students interested in competing at the School Sport Australia Tennis Championship (Jack Pizzey Cup) , should be aware of the following;<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>SSSSA and Tennis SA will be entering a team that consists of 8 female and 8 male players<\/li>\n<li>Selection will be based predominantly upon the best nominated players according to their end of February Australian Ranking. These rankings are due to be released on Thursday 9 March<\/li>\n<li>Students are required to participate in both singles and doubles and attend an information session and team training<\/li>\n<li>Students will be notified of their selection or non-selection by Tuesday 14 March.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p><strong>Australian Raking Points<\/strong><br \/>\nTennis Australia Australian Ranking points will be allocated at the championship as follows;<\/p>\n<table style=\"width: 250px\">\n<tbody>\n<tr>\n<td style=\"width: 19px\">1st<\/td>\n<td style=\"width: 10px\">2nd<\/td>\n<td style=\"width: 10px\">3rd<\/td>\n<td style=\"width: 11px\">4th<\/td>\n<td style=\"width: 10px\">5th<\/td>\n<td style=\"width: 10px\">6th<\/td>\n<td style=\"width: 10px\">7th<\/td>\n<td style=\"width: 18.8608px\">8th<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<tr>\n<td style=\"width: 19px\">25<\/td>\n<td style=\"width: 10px\">19<\/td>\n<td style=\"width: 10px\">12<\/td>\n<td style=\"width: 11px\">8<\/td>\n<td style=\"width: 10px\">4<\/td>\n<td style=\"width: 10px\">3<\/td>\n<td style=\"width: 10px\">2<\/td>\n<td style=\"width: 18.8608px\">1<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table>\n<p>Additional AR points will be awarded based on the following;<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Singles round robin win \u2013 4.0 points.<\/li>\n<li>Double and\/or mixed doubles round robin win \u2013 1.5 points<br \/>\nNote \u2013 AR points accrued at the Pizzey Cup will count as one singles result<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Championship costs<\/strong><br \/>\nAn individual itemised account will be provided to every athlete selected in an interstate team. Levies, food, travel and accommodation will be included on the invoice. Uniforms will be a separate online process where payment is made directly to the supplier.
