{"id":11793,"date":"2016-12-02T11:51:40","date_gmt":"2016-12-02T01:21:40","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.tennis.com.au\/sa\/?p=11793"},"modified":"2016-12-02T11:53:10","modified_gmt":"2016-12-02T01:23:10","slug":"star-studded-line-up-for-january","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.tennis.com.au\/sa\/news\/2016\/12\/02\/star-studded-line-up-for-january","title":{"rendered":"Star studded line up for January"},"content":{"rendered":"<div>\n<p><strong>Philippoussis, Peers and more complete World Tennis Challenge line up<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Twelve world-class players will star at this summer\u2019s <a href=\"http:\/\/worldtennischallenge.com\/\" target=\"_blank\">World Tennis Challenge<\/a> across three teams from 10 to 12 January 2017 at Memorial Drive, Adelaide.<\/p>\n<p>Former world No.8 Mark Philippoussis and ATP World Tour Finals doubles champions John Peers and Finland\u2019s Henri Kontinen join world No.13 Nick Kyrgios for Team Gold.<\/p>\n<p>World No.31 Sam Querrey and former world No.17 and two-time Australian Open men\u2019s doubles champion Fabrice Santoro are set to join one of the most successful doubles pairings in history, Bob and Mike Bryan for Team Red.<\/p>\n<p>While Canada\u2019s Daniel Nestor and France\u2019s Edouard Roger-Vasselin will pair up to join top 10 player Tomas Berdych and Croatian Grand Slam champion Goran Ivanisevic for Team Blue to round out the field.<\/p>\n<p>The three teams have been named after South Australia\u2019s state colours. Teams will rotate across the three nights with play set to kick start with men\u2019s doubles before men\u2019s singles and men\u2019s legends matches.<\/p>\n<p>Peers, who became the first Australian champion at the ATP World Tour Finals since Lleyton Hewitt in 2002 earlier this month, is excited to be heading to Adelaide for the World Tennis Challenge.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cTournaments like these are always a great time.
