The Queensland Junior Teams Carnival is a prestigious team tennis event held in December school holidays each year in which the six (6) regions of Queensland enter representative teams to compete in various formats including singles, doubles and mixed doubles. Interstate teams from New South Wales, South Australia and Northern Territory regularly compete in the event along with a team from New Zealand.

There is also an individual singles event attached to the Junior Teams Carnival which carries gold level Australian Ranking points. Each day the teams event takes place in the morning and individual matches are played in the afternoons which makes for a huge week of tennis and has earned the reputation of being one of the most grueling but also the most enjoyable events in the Queensland tournament calendar.
