North Queensland tennis juniors received a skills boost ahead of the Junior Development Series A Finals in Townsville.

About 20 juniors spent Friday, 7^th September at the invitation-only clinic getting tips from Brisbane-based  Tennis Australia coaches and talent identification co-ordinators Ashley Naumann and Derek Burden.

Additionally, there was an evening session held on Friday, open to all players participating in the JDS A Finals – approximately 40 juniors took part.

Naumann and Burden said they enjoyed the opportunity to see how players are developing in the region.  “It’s a good opportunity for us to support the players, coaches and parents and work out where they’re at,” Naumann said.
