Ashley Fisher started playing tennis at the age of five and grew up with a tennis court in his backyard.
He gave tennis up in favour of table tennis, a sport in which he was ranked within the national top 10, between the ages of einght and 16.
Eventually, Ashley traded his bat for a racquet thinking that tennis would open more doors for him. Ashley went on to play college tennis at Texas Christian University in Fort Worth between 1994 and 1998, reaching the doubles final at the NCAA tournament in 1996 (w/Jason Weir-Smith, USA) and, in addition to a finance degree, he also earned All-American honours in doubles in 1996–97.
When he’s not playing tennis, Ashley enjoys playing cards, reading and watching movies.
