RETURN TO TENNIS including COVID-19 Guidelines

Update COVID-19 Update from Tennis Victoria and Officer Tennis Club as at 23 July, 2020.

Key Features:

  • If you live within metropolitan Melbourne or Mitchell Shire, you must wear a face covering whenever you leave your home, unless an exception applies. A face covering needs to cover both your nose and mouth. It could be a face mask or shield (please refer to more info below).
  • Court access only allowed for coaching and members with court key. Courts remain closed for general public use.
  • Casual play for members of the same household or for 2 people from different households.
  • Coaching for members of the same household or one to one coaching.
  • ON ARRIVAL AT THE COURTS  PLEASE ENSURE YOU SUBMIT THE PARTICIPANT DETAILS OF ALL WHO ATTEND THE COURTS BY SCANNING THE QR READER on your mobile phone or iPad,
  • Clubhouse/rooms and toilets remain closed.
  • Physical distancing and hygiene protocols remain in place.
  • Winter Season 2020 Competition cancelled.

The directions of the Victorian Government state:

  • Participants 12 years and older must wear a face covering, unless an exemption applies.
  • If you are doing strenuous physical exercise you do not need to wear a face covering but you must carry one with you. Strenuous exercise can include playing tennis.
  • Coaches must wear a face covering when travelling to and from a venue and while on court unless the face covering impacts on their ability to deliver instructions or if the activity is strenuous. Coaches must have a face covering on them at all times.

If you are feel unwell you should stay at home. If you have symptoms of Coronavirus (COVID-19), however mild, you should get tested.
