The 2026 Northern Territory tournament season has officially arrived! Over the Easter long weekend and the April school holidays, the courts were buzzing as Tennis NT delivered back-to-back tournaments at Tennis Palmerston<\/strong><\/a> and the Darwin International Tennis Centre<\/strong><\/a> (DITC).
Despite an exceptionally stubborn wet season, our players and organizers managed to “ace” the weather, sneaking in some incredible matches and crowning our first winners of the year. These events also officially kicked off the NT Points Race<\/strong><\/a>, with players now vying for those crucial ladder positions.<\/p>\n

MICK’S ALLY FAB PALMERSTON OPEN | 4-6 April<\/strong><\/p>\n

The action began at Tennis Palmerston, drawing a diverse crowd of competitors from Darwin, Palmerston, and even as far as Katherine. We were also thrilled to welcome interstate talent from Queensland and South Australia, raising the stakes across all divisions.
From the high-energy Coloured Ball Competitions<\/strong> for our rising stars to the gritty battles in the Open Men\u2019s and Women\u2019s<\/strong> draws, the talent on display was top tier. A special shout-out goes to the new faces in our Co-Ed Adult Socials<\/strong> – it was great to see fresh energy on the courts!

DITC EASTER OPEN | 8-10 April<\/strong><\/p>\n

Hot on the heels of Palmerston, the momentum shifted to the Darwin International Tennis Centre. The DITC Easter Open featured a full suite of Junior and Open singles and doubles, alongside our popular Adult Social events.
While the “inconsistent” Darwin clouds tried their best to disrupt play, the patience and sportsmanship of our players truly shone through. Whether you were a local regular or a travelling visitor, your contribution made the atmosphere electric.<\/p>\n
