Photo by: Celina Whan Sport Photography<\/em><\/p>\n 2025 Australian Pro Tour series in Darwin has officially wrapped up, concluding two weeks of fantastic, high-level tennis at the Darwin International Tennis Centre. The event delivered on its promise of competitive action, culminating in thrilling finals across the Women’s Doubles and Women’s Singles categories.<\/p>\n The series saw a compelling Women\u2019s Doubles final on Saturday night. The defending international finalist pair, Reina Goto\u00a0<\/b>(JPN)<\/em> and Brooke Black\u00a0<\/b>(GBR)<\/em>, showcased dominant form to secure the championship title. They took down the formidable pairing of Elicia Kim<\/b>\u00a0(AUS)<\/em> and Jizelle Sibai\u00a0<\/b>(AUS)<\/em> with a decisive straight-sets victory, 6-3, 6-2.<\/p>\n The final match of the tournament, the Women\u2019s Singles Final<\/b>, took place Sunday evening. It proved to be a hard-fought battle that was temporarily halted by one of Darwin\u2019s heat and surprise thunder & lightning. BoYoung Jeong<\/b> (KOR) <\/em>[7], ultimately overcame Elena Micic<\/b> (AUS) <\/em>[3], in a competitive showdown, sealing the match with a strong 6-2, 7-5 finish.<\/p>\n Beyond the main competition, the tournament served a vital role in nurturing the next generation of talent. The timing of these high-calibre events provided a unique opportunity to integrate our local junior participation events<\/b>, including the Super 10’s<\/b> and dedicated School Visits<\/b>. This not only highlights the competitive play pathway but also lets local kids witness high-level tennis firsthand.<\/p>\n The excitement was further amplified by the inclusion of the popular One Point Slam<\/b> prior to both the W35 Darwin International<\/strong> and the W35 NT International<\/strong> Singles Finals. This event gave our local players an unforgettable opportunity\u2014the chance to go head-to-head against some of the professional tennis players, charging up the atmosphere at the Darwin International Tennis Centre just before the finalists took to the courts.<\/p>\n Tennis NT<\/b> extended its deepest gratitude to everyone involved in making the events a success.
