Welcoming the NT\u2019s Talent and Coach Manager \u2013 Martin Rocca<\/strong><\/p>\n

We are delighted to announce our new Talent and Coach Manager Martin Rocca.<\/p>\n

Martin is Argentinian and has coached in Buenos Aires, New York, Barcelona, and for the last 2 years has been a Coach Education Specialist for Tennis Australia based in Melbourne. Martin delivered the Trainee Coaching Course in Darwin last May 2024 and is looking forward to working with all of us in the NT to develop coaches and local talent.<\/p>\n

School Sport Australia 12 and under Tennis pathway (also known as the Bruce Cup)<\/p>\n

Every year, School Sport Education NT \u201cSSENT\u201d run regional, inter-region, and national events to grow the school sport pathway.<\/p>\n

DITC\u2019S FIRST OPEN TOURNAMENT<\/strong><\/p>\n

Centre Manager and Head Coach Andy hosted Darwin International Tennis Centre\u2019s first Open tournament over the Anzac weekend!<\/p>\n

\u2018Over three exciting days, we successfully hosted 143 matches, and we couldn\u2019t be prouder of the energy, sportsmanship, and community spirit on display.\u2019 Also we were all happy to see an exciting final where Andy took down \u201cMr Consistent\u201d, fellow coach Hayden Litis.<\/p>\n

10U GREEN BALL NATIONALS – GREEN BALL POINTS RACE<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n

The 10 and under Green Ball Nationals provides a world-class tournament experience for Australia\u2019s best young players \u2013 helping to shape their love of the sport through positive early competition.<\/p>\n

Eight boys and eight girls will receive an invite based on their UTR. All other players will need to qualify through their state qualification process.<\/p>\n

QUALIFICATION CRITERIA – NT<\/strong><\/p>\n

From accumulating points in the Points Race that consists of the NT Coloured Ball tournaments, commencing in April and concluding in July, one boy and girl will be selected.<\/p>\n

Tennis NT will host an NT Qualifying event held on the 26th\u00a0– 27th\u00a0of July to determine the other boy and girl who qualify.<\/p>\n
