Friday night\u2019s Round 2 action of the Junior Tennis League<\/span><\/em><\/strong> saw some close FAST4<\/em> action\u00a0between all players with 12 of the sets going to the crucial 3rd rule: Tie-breaker at 3 games all<\/em>.<\/p>\n

After finishing last week\u00a0on top of the ladder the Buffalo\u2019s dominated early in the night taking three of the four singles matches with wins to Callum Saunders<\/span>, Rosie Henderson<\/span> and Stephanie Rayner<\/span>. The Barra\u2019s #1 Liam Franklin<\/span> saved the whitewash, securing there only win for the evening with a tightly fought 4-3 4-3 win over Buffalo\u2019s #1 Oscar Ferdinands<\/span>.<\/p>\n

The Barra\u2019s had the opportunity to swim their way back into contention in the doubles rubbers when they took the first set in three of the four matches. However they couldn’t maintain the momentum losing the second sets and drawing the doubles rubbers.<\/p>\n

The Croc\u2019s came up against a determined Frillie\u2019s team, looking to make up for last week\u2019s disappointing loss. Coen Hutt<\/span> and Serena Adams<\/span> got the Frillie\u2019s off to a great start securing two of the singles rubbers, while their #1 Kyle<\/span> O\u2019Donoghue-Ellis<\/span> could only manage a draw against Croc\u2019s #1 Kenneth Prete<\/span>.<\/p>\n

The Croc\u2019s started to claw their way back in the doubles when Prete teamed with Eilis Kruger<\/span> to take the number 1 mixed Doubles 4-2 4-2 over O\u2019Donoghue-Ellis<\/span> and Jaimee Murphy<\/span>. However it was the Frillie\u2019s night, when they drew the final two doubles securing them the win.<\/p>\n

SHOT OF THE ROUND<\/strong><\/em> or should I say SHOTS of the round goes to Kenneth Prete<\/span> (Croc’s) for his superb touch volleys around the net in both of his doubles matches.<\/p>\n
