{"id":5964,"date":"2015-03-16T11:10:15","date_gmt":"2015-03-16T01:40:15","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.tennis.com.au\/nt\/?p=5964"},"modified":"2015-03-16T11:10:15","modified_gmt":"2015-03-16T01:40:15","slug":"jtl-results-round-2","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.tennis.com.au\/nt\/news\/2015\/03\/16\/jtl-results-round-2","title":{"rendered":"JTL Results &#8211; Round 2"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Friday night\u2019s Round 2 action of the <strong><em><span style=\"color: #0091d2\">Junior Tennis League<\/span><\/em><\/strong> saw some close <em>FAST4<\/em> action\u00a0between all players with 12 of the sets going to the crucial 3rd rule: <em>Tie-breaker at 3 games all<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p>After finishing last week\u00a0on top of the ladder the Buffalo\u2019s dominated early in the night taking three of the four singles matches with wins to <span style=\"color: #e10073\">Callum Saunders<\/span>, <span style=\"color: #e10073\">Rosie Henderson<\/span> and <span style=\"color: #e10073\">Stephanie Rayner<\/span>. The Barra\u2019s #1 <span style=\"color: #0091d2\">Liam Franklin<\/span> saved the whitewash, securing there only win for the evening with a tightly fought 4-3 4-3 win over Buffalo\u2019s #1 <span style=\"color: #e10073\">Oscar Ferdinands<\/span>.<\/p>\n<p>The Barra\u2019s had the opportunity to swim their way back into contention in the doubles rubbers when they took the first set in three of the four matches. However they couldn&#8217;t maintain the momentum losing the second sets and drawing the doubles rubbers.<\/p>\n<p>The Croc\u2019s came up against a determined Frillie\u2019s team, looking to make up for last week\u2019s disappointing loss. <span style=\"color: #fac300\">Coen Hutt<\/span> and <span style=\"color: #fac300\">Serena Adams<\/span> got the Frillie\u2019s off to a great start securing two of the singles rubbers, while their #1 <span style=\"color: #fac300\">Kyle<\/span> <span style=\"color: #fac300\">O\u2019Donoghue-Ellis<\/span> could only manage a draw against Croc\u2019s #1 <span style=\"color: #d7d700\">Kenneth Prete<\/span>.<\/p>\n<p>The Croc\u2019s started to claw their way back in the doubles when Prete teamed with <span style=\"color: #d7d700\">Eilis Kruger<\/span> to take the number 1 mixed Doubles 4-2 4-2 over <span style=\"color: #fac300\">O\u2019Donoghue-Ellis<\/span> and <span style=\"color: #fac300\">Jaimee Murphy<\/span>.
