The weather gods shone brightly on us today making for some great tennis at Sydney Olympic Park Tennis Centre.<\/p>\n<p>Today saw NSW young gun <strong>James McCabe (NSW)<\/strong> defeat <strong>Alex Bolt (AUS)<\/strong> 6-4, 7-6 (3), while NSW Player of the Year <strong>Max Purcell (NSW)<\/strong> defeated <strong>Kyle Seelig (USA)<\/strong> 6-3, 6-2 continuing his career best year.<\/p>\n<p>Men\u2019s Doubles Quarter Finals were played today with number 4 seeds <strong>Matthew Romios<\/strong> and <strong>Jason Taylor (AUS)<\/strong> defeating <strong>Alex Bolt<\/strong> and <strong>Rinky Hijikata<\/strong> 5-7, 7-6 (4), 10-5 in a tough match on court 2. <strong>Blake Ellis<\/strong> and <strong>Tristan<\/strong> <strong>Schoolkate<\/strong> defeated number 2 seeds <strong>Marc Polmans<\/strong> and <strong>Max Purcell<\/strong> 7-5, 6-3.<\/p>\n<p>In the Women\u2019s singles the Aussies had a stelar day with wins to number 5 seed <strong>Kimberly Birrell<\/strong> over <strong>Alexandra<\/strong> <strong>Bozovic (NSW)<\/strong> 6-2, 6-4 and number 4 seed <strong>Olivia Gadecki<\/strong> over <strong>Ya-Hsuan Lee (TPE)<\/strong> 6-3, 6-2. Fellow Aussies <strong>Kaylah<\/strong> <strong>Mcphee<\/strong>, <strong>Talia Gibson<\/strong> and <strong>Petra Hule<\/strong> also had straight sets wins today.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Petra Hule (AUS)<\/strong> made it a double with a win in the doubles with partner <strong>Makenna Jones (USA)<\/strong> 0-6, 6-0, 10-6 in the fastest match of the tournament lasting 49 minutes\u00a0 0-6, 6-0, 10-6 over <strong>Aunchisa Chanta<\/strong> and <strong>Luksika<\/strong> <strong>Kumkhum (THA)<\/strong>. Wins today also for <strong>Destanee Aiava<\/strong> and <strong>Lisa Mays (AUS)<\/strong> over <strong>Kaylah Mcphee<\/strong> and <strong>Alana<\/strong> <strong>Parnaby (AUS) <\/strong>3-6, 7-6 (4), 10-7 as well as <strong>Alexandra Osborne (AUS)<\/strong> and partner <strong>Jessy Rompies (INA).<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>In action tomorrow will be Australians <strong>Tristan Schoolkate<\/strong> vs <strong>Max Purcell<\/strong>, <strong>Marc Polmans<\/strong>, <strong>Adam Walton<\/strong> and <strong>James McCabe<\/strong> in the singles as well as <strong>Matthew Romios<\/strong> and <strong>Jason Taylor<\/strong> vs <strong>Blake Ellis<\/strong> and <strong>Tristan Schoolkate<\/strong> and <strong>Edward Winter<\/strong> in the Doubles.<\/p>\n<p>In the Women\u2019s singles we will see <strong>Petra Hule<\/strong> vs <strong>Talia Gibson<\/strong> as well as Aussies <strong>Kaylah Mcphee<\/strong>, <strong>Kimberly Birrell<\/strong> and <strong>Olivia Gadecki<\/strong>.
