Held in all major Australian cities, it provides a nurturing, environment where players can compete, learn and build friendships with other standout players in their state.<\/p>\n<p>In 2026, Super 10s is evolving to further strengthen its role as a foundational step in\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/aus01.safelinks.protection.outlook.com\/?url=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.tennis.com.au%2Fcompete%2Fperformance&amp;data=05%7C02%7Ckristina.prentoska%40tennis.com.au%7Cce9fa4eecbf14a44f01c08dea033701d%7C61aa9c8da7734a7c84701dd8062e404a%7C0%7C0%7C639124339962888178%7CUnknown%7CTWFpbGZsb3d8eyJFbXB0eU1hcGkiOnRydWUsIlYiOiIwLjAuMDAwMCIsIlAiOiJXaW4zMiIsIkFOIjoiTWFpbCIsIldUIjoyfQ%3D%3D%7C0%7C%7C%7C&amp;sdata=nHYFDFa4Bir2C9Be7Y9FepduGmJV21IPt6SNeMkqI7k%3D&amp;reserved=0\">Tennis Australia\u2019s player development pathway<\/a>. The program will continue to prioritise high-quality experiences that support skill and character development, encourage teamwork among players and families, and create a positive, engaging environment for both players and parents.<\/p>\n<p>The Super 10s experience should include competitive play, training, and aspirational opportunities.<\/p>\n<p>Note: the private coach should be instrumental in designing a player\u2019s training program and tournament schedule and will advise as what components best suit a player\u2019s particular age or stage of development.<\/p>\n<h3>Competitive Play<\/h3>\n<p>Tournaments, competitions, and other events organised by your coach, club, and Tennis NSW, are very important for the development of a young tennis player. Your private coach will be able to best advise you on the level of competition, and the number of matches you should be playing.<\/p>\n<p>It is important to maintain the appropriate match volume, even when you are starting your tennis journey in the Green Ball space. Please see the <a href=\"https:\/\/matrix.tennis.com.au\/\">Player Development Matrix<\/a> for more.<\/p>\n<p>Most Green Ball competitive play opportunities are through JDS, RMS events, and Interdistrict and Interassociation competition, conducted by Tennis NSW. These events are run in the regions and metropolitan areas.<\/p>\n<p>There are also Green Ball competitive play opportunities as part of some J125 events.<\/p>\n<p>Weekly Green Ball competition is available in most clubs and is helpful in maintaining your match volume.<\/p>\n<h3>Training Opportunities<\/h3>\n<p>The\u00a0Super\u00a010s\u00a0Training Squad is designed to provide young players with additional training volume. It is conducted at Tennis World, Sydney Olympic Park. The Super 10s Squad is a &#8220;value-add\u201d\u00a0program and may or may not be suitable for some players.<\/p>\n<p>Selections are based on:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Tennis Australia Coloured-ball rating.<\/li>\n<li>Results in Green Ball Competitive Play.<\/li>\n<li>Recommendations\u00a0from leading coaches.<\/li>\n<li>High performing players (2016 birthyear) from the 2025\u00a0Super\u00a010s\u00a0program.<\/li>\n<li>Super 10s\u00a0Advantage\u00a0Program<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>In NSW, high performing players will be given the opportunity to undertake some additional training, in the National Development Squad (NDS) environment.<\/p>\n<p>This additional training opportunity will provide the player with an insight into the Tennis Australia training environment.<\/p>\n<p>Players will receive a player assessment, evaluation their technical, tactical, physical, and emotional development compared to the best players from around the country.<\/p>\n<h3>Super 10s State Camps<\/h3>\n<p>In 2026 the state-based Super 10s program will move from a competition program to a state camp format. Please note the following:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>There will be one NSW Super 10s Camp conducted per term.<\/li>\n<li>Each camp will be 2 x half-day events.<\/li>\n<li>Although camps will be conducted in the metropolitan area, the format will allow regional athletes to attend and minimise the financial outlay.<\/li>\n<li>Selections for the Term 1 NSW\u00a0Super\u00a010s\u00a0Camp will be made based on:\n<ul>\n<li>Tennis Australia Coloured Ball Rating (CBR)<\/li>\n<li>Results\u00a0from Tennis NSW JDS events (note events below).<\/li>\n<li>Recommendations from leading coaches.<\/li>\n<li>High performing players from the 2025 Super 10s season.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>Note that reselection for the state camps will occur each term.<\/li>\n<li>Players must continue to demonstrate an improvement in technical and physical competencies, to maintain elections.<\/li>\n<li>Players demonstrating the Tennis Australia values of coachable, committed, and competitive.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>Representative Opportunities<\/h3>\n<p>Tennis NSW and Tennis Australia provide representative opportunities for Green Ball\/10-and-unders players.<\/p>\n<p>Tennis NSW conduct a state teams carnival where regional and metropolitan teams are selected and compete over a two-day period.<\/p>\n<p>Tennis Australia conducts\u00a0Super\u00a010s\u00a0State of Origin fixtures, where NSW players compete against ACT, SA, Queensland, and Victoria.<\/p>\n<p>Players can qualify for the Tennis Australia Green Ball Nationals, based on performances in Green Ball JDS and RMS events.
