Junior Tournaments Australian Ranking

Junior Tournaments (JT) provide a clear competitive pathway for aspiring tennis players.  The JT tournaments offer Australian Ranking points across 4 levels, Platinum, Gold, Silver and Bronze.

These tournaments offer points across the 12/u, 14/u and 16/u age groups, with select tournaments also offering points in the 18/u age group.

To enter a Junior Tour event, click here for the Tournament Calendar and search under the Australian Ranking tab.

The four levels of Junior Tour tournaments are as follows:

Platinum Series (National Junior Championships)

Each year Tennis Australia conducts National Junior Championships to assist the development of high performance athletes. The tournaments are the pinnacle in competition for players and provide maximum Australian Ranking points in each age group.

Gold Series

Gold JT events award the highest level of points at the State level, with players reaching the final eight playing out of positions 1-8.

Silver Series

Silver JT events are mid level events, suitable to experienced tournament players.

Bronze Series

Bronze JT events are recommended for athletes starting out on the Australian Ranking system.

NSW State Team Championships

NSW State Teams Championships are two day invitational tournaments for the top juniors in the 10/Under, 12/Under and 14/Under age groups across each region in NSW.

State Teams Championships resemble Davis Cup and Fed Cup ties, providing the benefit of on court managers and the opportunity to compete in a team environment.

The Championships use a round robin format with play offs for each team in the finals round to decide final standings.
