Junior Development Series (Regional NSW)
WHAT IS THE JUNIOR DEVELOPMENT SERIES?
The Junior Development Series is a group of round-robin tournaments conducted around Regional NSW for beginner to intermediate players. The JDS is a great introduction to tournament play for juniors who are developing their tennis skills.
The series culminates in a Champion of Champions tournament in each region, followed by the JDS State Final Representative event (the JDS State Final will not be an Australian Ranking Tournament in 2017).
WHO ARE THESE TOURNAMENTS FOR?
The JDS sits under the Junior Tour (JT) in the Tournament Pathway and is designed to give players their first taste of what competitive tennis involves by playing multiple tournaments throughout the year.
To be eligible for a certain age group, no matter what age a player currently is, the cut off date is
the age a player is as at the 31st December 2017. DOB cut off is as follows:
- 10 & Under (10/U) – Born anytime in 2007 and later
- 12 & Under (12/U) – Born anytime in 2005 and later
- 14 & Under (14/U) – Born anytime in 2003 and later
- 16 & Under (16/U) – Born anytime in 2001 and later
- 18 & Under (18/U) – Born anytime in 1999 and later
*please check with your region as to whether they offer the 18/U age group.
CAN I GET AR RANKING POINTS AT JDS ROUND ROBINS?
The JDS round robins do not offer Australian Ranking Points.

All players entering tournaments require a Tennis Australia member ID number.
