The Australian Tennis Museum’s next exhibition focuses on the history of the NSW Championships, now known as the Apia International Sydney.  The first commercial sponsor of the tournament was Streets Ice Cream in 1961 and since then many companies have been involved in supporting this great tennis event.  Even before formal sponsors, there were companies tailoring their advertising for the event.  Take a look at the Peters Ice Cream advertisment in the 1934 NSW Championships program.  The new exhibition opens in January 2014.
