Legends come out to lunch

03 May 2011 |

The Australian Tennis Museum yesterday held its annual Ken Rosewall Fundraising Luncheon at the Sydney Olympic Park Tennis Centre. Attendees were treated to a entertainment packed day starting in the museum to view the new exhibition “Muscles- The Story of Ken Rosewall”.

Guests were then escorted upstairs to the function centre where our official MC Garry Wilkinson interviewed our special guest Frank Sedgman, with stories about his near encounter with Queen Elizabeth and the possibility of him becoming King and Harry Hopman’s instance on table manners whilst on tour.

The Australian Tennis Museum Curator Aimee Deaves said, “It was great to see so many people coming out and supporting the museum and each year the luncheon seems to get better. Next year will be our 10 year anniversary of the luncheon, so keep an eye on our website next year for details”.
