Australian Tennis Museum receives Community Heritage Grant

24 September 2010 |

On Tuesday 9th November 2010 it was announced at the National Library in Canberra that the Australian Tennis Museum was a recipient of a Community Heritage Grant along with a variety of historical societies and museums across the country.

The grant was awarded to carry out a Preservation Needs Assessment of the Costume Collection which will ensure it is stored and conserved to a high standard for the future.

The Australian Tennis Museum first received a Community Heritage Grant in 2008 to carry out a Significance Assessment of the Costume Collection which helped the museum gain the grant for 2010.

The project will be carried out in early 2011 with the next step in the process to receive a grant to supply preservation materials for the collection.
