Mudgee sports groups share $19,000 in state government funding

Three Mudgee sporting groups have been awarded more than $19,000 in funding as part of the NSW Government’s Local Sport Grant Program.

Dubbo MP and Deputy Premier Troy Grant said the main aim of the program is to increase regular and on-going participation opportunities in sport and active recreation in NSW.

“Sport is a huge part of our way of life, especially in rural and regional communities,” Mr Grant said.

“I was pleased to support Mudgee Junior Cricket club with $7,000 going towards the purchase of a new pitch roller.

“Mudgee and District Tennis club who received $12,590 to resurface two of their tennis courts and the Mudgee Dressage group who received funds to assist training.

“The NSW Government is committed to delivering the best infrastructure to the people of NSW and I look forward to seeing the benefits of these grants to the Mudgee community,” Mr Grant said.
