Overview of the 2015 Regional Events
For junior players, a number of regional events are run throughout the year. These events are detailed below:
15/u mixed Bradke/Luczak Cup
14-15 February 2015 at Benalla Lawn Tennis Club
The Bradke/Luczak is for 15/u boys and girls from the 11 country regions only across Victoria. The competition is a round robin format with ties consisting of two boys singles, two girls singles and two mixed doubles rubbers.
Association/Regional Teams Challenge
28 February – 1 March 2015 at Bendigo Tennis Centre
The Association/Regional Teams Challenge comprises teams of two boys and two girls in the 12/u, 14/u, 16/u and 18/u age groups from metropolitan associations and country regions throughout Victoria. The competition is a round robin format with ties consisting of two boys singles, two girls singles, one boys doubles, one girls doubles and two mixed doubles rubbers in each age group.
10/u mixed Wayne Arthurs Cup
11-12 April 2015 at the Kooyong Lawn Tennis Club
The Wayne Arthurs Cup is for 10/u boys and girls from across metropolitan associations and country regions across Victoria. The competition is a round-robin format with ties consisting of two boys’ singles, two girls’ singles and two mixed doubles rubbers. This event is run with the support of the Kooyong Foundation and the Kooyong Lawn Tennis Club.
17/u Country Cup
2-3 May 2015 at the Mornington Tennis Centre
The Country Cup is for 17/u boys and girls from country regions across Victoria. The competition is a round-robin format with ties consisting of two boys’ singles, two girls’ singles and two mixed doubles rubbers.
11/u mixed Frank Sedgman Cup
1-2 August 2015 at Traralgon
The Frank Sedgman Cup is an annual event for 11/u boys and girls from across Victoria for teams from metropolitan associations and country regions. The competition is a round robin format with ties consisting of two boys singles, two girls singles and two mixed doubles rubbers.
13/u boys John Fitzgerald Cup
24-25 October 2015 at Wodonga Tennis Centre
The John Fitzgerald Cup is for 13/u boys from teams from the 11 country regions only. The competition is a round robin format with ties consisting of two boys doubles and four singles rubbers involving all of the four players from each team. Four players from the event are selected to represent Country Victoria at the Foundation Cup Interstate Challlenge in Sydney in January.
13/u girls Foundation Cup
14-15 November 2015 at Geelong Lawn Tennis Club
The Foundation Cup is for 13/u girls from teams from the 11 country regions only across Victoria. The competition is a round robin format with ties consisting of four singles and two girls doubles rubber involving all of the four players from each team. Four players from the event are selected to represent Country Victoria at the Foundation Cup Interstate Challlenge in Sydney in January.
12/u mixed Alicia Molik Cup
12-13 December 2015 at the Kooyong Lawn Tennis Club
The Alicia Molik Cup is a metropolitan and regional team event for 12/u boys and girls from across Victoria. The competition is a round robin format with ties consisting of two boys singles, two girls singles and two mixed doubles rubbers. This event is run with the support of the Kooyong Foundation and the Kooyong Lawn Tennis Club.

Nominating for Regional Events
All eligible juniors are encouraged to nominate for one or more of the above events.
Nominations should be made via email to MPR Tennis
Final team selection will be done by the MPR committee.
