The Saturday competition has now wrapped up with most positions on the leader boards coming down to this last day play. The divsion1 men played a final between the top two teams of Team1 and Team5 with Team1 (Peters/Hancock/Johnston) just edging out Team5 (Whiting/Dunlop/Rye) for 1st place. In the divison2 competition 1st place was no surprise with City4 (Roughan/Bower/Young) finishing with an unbeatable lead it came down to the wire for 2nd place with City1 (Sciffer/Oysten/Marsh) just holding onto their 2pt lead to come in 2nd place. In the division2 ladies Ooms finished in 1st with comfortable 10pts ahead of Bower who pulled just in front of de Marchi to 2nd place. Congratulations to all players!
This week will see the last week of play for the Tuesday and Wednesday night ladies competition before they go on a 2 weeks hiatus. In the Tuesday ladies table Briggs has increased their lead over closet rival Barnes to 7pts while Bryson rounds out the top three in 3rd by 3.5pts. The Wednesday nights ladies competition was washed out giving them wet match points but this leaves the table static for this week.
The Thursday ladies competition wraps up this week with the leader pretty tight and it is anyone’s guess who will take out the top spots. M.Wilkie lead dropped a fraction to 6pts over S.Gallagher who in turn has a very slim 1pt lead over S.Buckman in 3rd but B.Windon is also in the mix only trailing the top three by 2pts, good luck to all players.
