Weekend ERT Junior Grand Finals Results

Koonung Park had 2 teams competing in the Junior Grand Finals over the weekend.

Saturday GSD3
KPTC Girls Singles/ Doubles 3 team beat Ferny Creek quite convincingly.  5 sets to 1 set, 36 games to 20 games.   A large crowd of supporters helped create the grand final atmosphere.     
Well done KPTC girls.

Sunday – Open Rubbers 3
KPTC OR3 team narrowly beat Nth Ringwood, 3 sets 22 games to 2 sets 19 games.  After a nail biting first doubles set, our boys trailed 1-4 to then win the set 7-5.  We were witness to a high standard of tennis, enjoyed by all spectators who filled the bbq area.  Well done boys, you deserved the win.
