Tennis is the perfect sport for young children to learn basic skills including running, jumping, throwing and catching.
The first five years of a child’s life are critical to their development. It’s important that they acquire basic skills including running, jumping, throwing and catching to be able to participate in games and activities in their later lives.
Tennis Australia is in the initial stages of putting together a Fundamental Perceptual Motor Skill Program (FPMS) that kindergartens, early learning centres and even parents can use to help children develop these basic skills.
