WTC and Country Carnival 2018 Review

27 January 2018 |

Earlier this month Kensi hosted Tennis SA’s Country Carnival along with the Les Tapp OAM Junior Associations Tournament.

Mark Philippoussis made a visit during the Carnival and our club saw hosting up to 300+ tennis players every day from Jan 3rd to Jan 10th.

Tennis SA and Kensi provided a world class event as part of the World Tennis Challenge (WTC) and will again host the National Junior Grasscourt Championships in April this year.

Our Club President Neil Jones quoted:

Thank you for your volunteer efforts last week for the Les Tapp and Country Carnival events held at our club over 8 days.  The 2 events were very successful, in terms of income as well as showcasing our great tennis facility.

As well, there were a substantial number of players and others who commented on the very high standard of our courts, and facilities in general, including these two:

1.       Mark Philippoussis = “These courts are in fantastic condition”

2.       30 year veteran of Country Carnival = “These are the best courts I’ve played on in 30 years”.

Well done once again to our fantastic greenkeepers – Sharon & David and the Glenelg Turf Ace team for their very dedicated work in displaying our great courts at their best.  Thanks Neil
