Heathmont Tennis Club

New Head Coach

25 March 2018 |

Dear Members,

The Committee has embarked on a thorough process in our search for a new Head Coach our the last few months.  We were fortunate to have a number of outstanding candidates apply for the role of Head Coach at Heathmont.

The Committee is now excited to formally announce Stephen Hoh as the new Head Coach of the Heathmont Tennis Club.

Stephen is a Club Professional Coach, with a passion for junior development. He has represented Australia at Junior Davis Cup and played College Tennis in America.
We would like everyone to make him feel welcome and part of the Heathmont family.

Once again, we would like to thank Rob Peterson for the tremendous dedication and effort he has put into Heathmont.
It’s was always going to be difficult to find a new Head Coach with the same passion that Rob has shown over all the years.

Below is an Introduction from Stephen.

I am extremely thankful to Heathmont Tennis Club for this tremendous opportunity to help develop and grow our great sport of tennis within the local community. To have the chance to be a part of such a great active family-oriented club such as Heathmont is a dream come true for me, and I thoroughly look forward to meeting everyone.

As a young tennis-crazy kid growing up in Melbourne, I spent countless hours down at my local tennis club, which was a place of refuge to me. I played many imaginary “Aussie Open Finals” there with my friends, which has ultimately led to tennis becoming my career. I understand that clubs are where players not only develop their skills but also their love of the game, so I look forward to sharing my passion for tennis with the Heathmont Tennis Club community.

One of the many things that I love about Heathmont Tennis Club is the strong culture of competition, across all different levels and ages. It is great to see so many members of the club being involved in competition, as it no doubt creates a vibrant and engaging atmosphere around the club.

I am very excited to be starting at Heathmont in Term 2, and will be giving my absolute best to support the club on and off the court and contribute to its future success.
