ANZ Hot Shots and Match Play STARTS TODAY...

This Term our club will be running Tennis Victoria – ANZ Tennis Match Play and ANZ Tennis Hot Shots Programs.

These will be Come and Try Sessions at NO COST to you and will run for 4 weeks, until the end of Term 3.

Please see some information below regarding both programs:

ANZ Tennis Match Play:

Day: Wednesday

Time: 4:00pm for 4:15pm start

Commences: Wednesday 30th August, 2017.

Cost:  NO COST.

You will need: Tennis racquet (if you have one), Drink bottle, Non-marking shoes, Hat & Sunscreen.

ANZ Tennis Hot Shots Match Play (ANZTHS Match Play) is the perfect way for kids to experience team tennis for the first time in a fun, friendly and modified environment designed to make playing tennis as easy as possible.

Key features of ANZTHS Match Play are:

• Local competition delivered by your club, coach or association
• Time Friendly formats with defined start and finish times
• Shortened match format so kids get to play more matches
• Smaller courts, racquets and softer balls to suit your child’s relevant skill level
• On-court parent participation

Depending on Numbers, Players will be put into teams of 3, and they will play 3 matches each week –

1 x Singles and 2 x Doubles (approx. 20 mins each match – 1 hr. max play time). These matches will be played to 4 games or a maximum of 20 mins. And will be supervised by Parents or Volunteers (Court Supervisors).

 

ANZ Tennis Hot Shots:

Day: Wednesday

Time: 4:00pm-4:45pm

Commences: Wednesday 30th August, 2017

Cost: NO COST.

You will need: Drink bottle, Non-marking shoes, Hat & Sunscreen.

The Tennis Victoria ANZ Hot Shots program is aimed at children aged 5-10, but children as young as four and old as 11/12 can participate (as long as they are beginners). With this in mind the program is altered based on age groups and skill levels. We use different equipment (all supplied) such as larger low compression tennis balls, appropriate sized racquets and smaller courts and nets so as to promote greater success with the tennis skills.
