Glenhuntly Tennis Club

From 8 July 2020: Use of Glen Huntly Tennis Club courts

12 July 2020 |

No more than 10 people on the courts for casual play and coaching. Apart from coaching, playing is ‘first come first on court’ – if there are 10 players on court and more players come, please play up to 30 minutes and rotate.

Casual play – singles can be played by two people from the same or different households – doubles can only be played by members of the same household.

Coaching – coach can only be on court with a player or players from one household.

Social Play – play when you want to play. Club-organised Social Tennis is now limited to Sundays from 1pm-5pm and Mondays from 5.30pm.

Hygiene – Each player should bring your own full water bottle, hand sanitiser and clean hand towel or wet wipes. Please wash your hands at home before and after play, use sanitiser before and after play and cover your mouth/nose to cough/sneeze. Please stay away or go home if you feel unwell, have any COVID-19 symptoms or have had recent contact with anyone with COVID-19.

The clubhouse is closed, except (if necessary) for players to quickly use the toilets. Do not use showers, changerooms or kitchen etc.

Please practice social distancing (1.5 metres apart) as far as possible. Touch racquets, no “high fives” or shaking hands.

Record all coaching and social players and visitors for contact tracing if needed – please put your details in the folder at the clubhouse verandah and download the COVIDSafe app.

Non-Compliance –the Club Coach or any Committee member is authorised to direct any player or visitor who does not comply with any of the above to leave the courts – otherwise we could get sick and our courts could be shut down.
