TennisConnect Rewards Program Participation Conditions


These Terms & Conditions will be posted on the TennisConnect Rewards webpage. These are as at 10 May.

Tennis Australia is investing in the national tennis database (TennisConnect). This TennisConnect Rewards Program aims to encourage affiliated tennis clubs and other tennis organisations to support TennisConnect. The Program is offered on the following conditions:


  1. Term

The TennisConnect Reward Program will be conducted in Australia from 1 October 2015 until 31 May 2017. The program relates to this period only and will then be reviewed.

  1. Eligibility
    1. Rewards under this program will only be provided to tennis clubs and other tennis organisations that are members of good financial standing with their local State or Territory tennis Member Association (Affiliates). Coaches and Schools are not eligible for payments under the TennisConnect Rewards
    2. An Affiliate will only be eligible to participate in the TennisConnect Rewards Program if it has been set up to process memberships and take online payments via Tennis Australia’s online system “My Tennis”, on or before 31 May 2017 (Census Date).
  2. Rewards
    1. Tennis Australia (via the Member Associations) will pay each participating Affiliate $5 (ex GST) (Reward) for each Unique Activated Individual that has nominated the Affiliate in the ‘Primary Place of Play’ field on TennisConnect as at 11:59pm (Melbourne time) on 31 May 2017 (Census Date).
    2. If an Affiliate qualifies for a Reward payment of $250 or more (i.e >50 Unique Activated Individuals), it will be automatically entered into a prize draw for a “Book a Court Software and Gate Access System” operated in accordance with the conditions set out on the website for the TennisConnect Reward
    3. Member Associations will make payment of such Rewards to the Affiliates in each State and Territory between 1 June 2017 and 31 July 2017. To ensure payments can be made, Affiliates must provide bank account details, ABN and GST status by the date required by Tennis Australia. If an Affiliate fails to do so, it may forfeit the Rewards and the money will be retained by Tennis Australia. Member Associations may request tax invoices from Affiliates or create Recipient Created Tax Invoices in respect of these

    5. Tennis Australia may withhold Rewards from any Affiliate that is found to have, or reasonably suspected to have, breached these
  3. Unique Activated Individuals
    1. For the purposes of this TennisConnect Reward Program for Affiliates, a Unique Activated Individual is an Australian resident who has created an online tennis profile (i.e “Join Tennis”) in the period between 1 October 2015 and the Census Date, with all of the following fields validly completed in his/her TennisConnect profile:
      1. Name
      2. Date of birth
      3. Gender
      4. Postcode
      5. Email address
      6. Phone number
      7. Password
      8. Primary Place of Play
    2. In order to be counted towards the Rewards, a Unique Activated Individual:
      1. must have only one profile in the national tennis database;
      2. must have one unique email address (with the exception of children [U15], whose TennisConnect profiles may be linked to a parent’s email address); and
      3. nominate one “Primary Place of Play” field (the nominated “Primary Place of Play” field must be an Affiliated tennis venue).

* The Primary Place of Play field on TennisConnect is programmed to list only those Affiliates where the user has had an active membership with the Affiliate on TA’s “My Tennis” membership system between 1 July 2015 and the Census Date.

  1. Privacy

Affiliates and Member Associations must comply with privacy law requirements and obtain each individual’s consent before the individual is entered into TennisConnect and ensure that individuals agree to the terms of the tennis privacy policy located at http://www.tennis.com.au/privacy. If the Individual is a child, the Affiliate must ensure that the child’s parent or guardian provides such consent on behalf of the child.

  1. Fair Play Rules
    1. Affiliates (and any persons associated with an Affiliate) must participate in the TennisConnect Rewards Program fairly and honestly and must not:
      1. breach privacy law requirements or the tennis privacy policy;
      2. enter incorrect data;
      3. enter duplicate data;
      4. activate an account or verify data belonging to another;
      5. manipulate or attempt to manipulate the system or processes or program for their own financial gain;
      6. otherwise act in a manner that is contrary to the objectives of the program or the best interests of tennis.
    2. Tennis Australia may remove or merge (and not count for the purposes of the TennisConnect Reward Program) any duplicate profiles in TennisConnect or any profiles which it knows or suspects to be false or misleading or incorrect in any

Tennis Australia may amend these conditions at any time and will publish the updated conditions on the website for the TennisConnect Reward Program.
