Box Hill Tennis Club

About Us

Box Hill Tennis Club is a community tennis club which encourages not just the enjoyment of tennis but also aims to provide a welcoming environment in which to socialise for adults, teenagers and families.

The Club is located at the corner of Cyril and Station Streets, Box Hill South.   We cater for Juniors through to Veterans and from coaching to competitive tournaments.  BHTC now has 7 lit Classic clay courts which accommodate a wide range of tennis activities.  New members are always welcome.

On the inter-Club level, the weekend afternoons see teams playing in the Senior ERT competitions in Open Sets, Doubles and Singles/Doubles and plays host to a number of Tennis Victoria Pennant teams.

The Club fields over 20 Junior ERT teams and Juniors also participate in the Tennis Victoria Junior Pennant competition which play on Saturday and Sunday mornings.

Over 20 Night Tennis teams play in the Blackburn District Night Tennis Association for the Club.

In-house tennis is becoming a burgeoning aspect of the Club with a popular in-house doubles tournament coordinated by our Club coaches which attracts members and non-members between the Night Tennis seasons.

Women’s tennis is well catered for with the Mums ‘n Tots program and Club coaching and round robin tournaments for all levels on weekday mornings.  For the sprightly young at heart members of the Club, 8.30am tennis on Tuesday is de rigiur for tennis veterans.
