Tennis League

Competition tennis has recommenced.  Winter Leagues are in progress and the Spring Leagues will start in mid September.
Please note the COVID-19 restrictions that are in place for the competitions including:

  • Clubhouses will remain closed. There may be limited or no access to bathroom facilities, depending on the venue.
  • Supper for Thursday Night Mixed will not be allowed.
  • All players will need to adhere to all other  COVID-19 Community Tennis Guidelines which are in place at the time.
  • NO Leagues will start if COVID-19 restrictions do permit at the start date, and leagues may be suspended at any time if further restrictions are imposed during the season.

Belconnen Tennis Club strongly supports adult pennant tennis and has a very good record of success in these competitions.

  • Adult pennant competitions and entry lists are publicised on the Clubhouse noticeboard and in the quarterly newsletter A variety of competitions from 6 to 11 weeks in duration are run over Summer, Autumn, Winter and Spring  periods.  View the Tennis ACT Competitions   website which has full details of the pennant program available during the year for players including entry closing dates, competition formats, Rules etc.
  •  Competitions  are graded so an opportunity for  all members who have achieved a minimum standard for competition tennis and are familiar with the rules of tennis are eligible to participate.
  • Players are graded by the Club’s Grading Sub-Committee.
  • Teams are entered in  competition (currently mixed doubles, and unisex singles and doubles) and in most grades ranging from about Grade 1 to 5 depending on the number of entries.
  • Speak to the Club Captain or Vice President for more details about joining a Belconnen team. Entry sheets are placed on the noticeboard in the clubhouse.
