Be A Member!

Members have free use of the courts, provided a court is not previously booked. Please use the Book A Court website to book a court. As a member you are not charged a fee.

Members of the club are registered members of Tennis ACT and receive the benefits that entails, including the ability to enter into competitions organised by Tennis ACT and personal accident insurance cover.

The Membership Year is from 1 July until 30 June

To become a member you pay a membership fees and a once-only joining fee. Membership fees are $145 for an adult member (ie Senior Member) 18 years and older as at 1 July; $75 for a Junior member under the age of 18 as at 1 July; and $310 for a family of 1 or 2 adults and their children under 18 years of age as at 1 July. If your family composition is such that it would be cheaper to take out individual senior and junior memberships then do so.

For new members or for those whose memberships have lapsed,  a joining fee is applicable which is $40 for an adult (senior) member, $20 for Junior member and $80 per Family membership. The joining fee is the same regardless of the time of year you join.

These fees include the State Registration Fee.

You may join the club on-line through Tennis Australia’s Club Spark website. To join on-line, visit           and follow the process, starting with ‘Join’ at the top of the screen. This should eventually take you to Barton Tennis Club. The membership fee can be paid with your credit card at the My Tennis website.

Membership forms may also available at the clubhouse located near the notice board. Fill in the membership form and forward to the Club with your payment. You may leave in the letter box at the club house just outside the main entrance.

If you choose Electronic Funds Transfer, go to your bank’s website and do your EFT transfer. In the EFT transfer description box, include your name, last 5 digits of your Tennis ID, and MR (standing for Membership Renewal). The Club’s bank account is:

Ensure that your eft transaction is clearly described in the transfer description. Note that any unidentifiable deposits made to the club’s bank account will be treated as anonymous donations.
