Club Open day Sunday 9 October

We are holding an Open day at the club on Sunday 9 October from 10am to 2pm. This is another opportunity to come out for a social hit ahead of the season. Everyone is invited, and friends and family are of course welcome. There will be a free sausage sizzle, Hot Shots tennis set up for the kids, raffle and a few more surprises too.

2022 Annual General Meeting

The club AGM is being held on Wednesday 17 August at 7pm at the Sandison Avenue clubrooms. All Saturday and Night Owls players are invited and encouraged to attend… this is a great opportunity to hear what has been happening with your club behind the scenes and to have your say in what’s coming up. The agenda will include:
– Recap of the last 12 months, including lease and co-tenancy update
– Financial report and proposed playing fees for the next 12 months
– Constitution updates
– Plans for the coming 12 months
– Election of committee

If you are interested in getting involved by joining the committee or becoming a volunteer you can submit your nomination by return email. If you would like to get involved but would like some more information about what’s required, please feel free to drop us an email or give James a call on 0419 994906.

2022-23 Summer season

The summer season is fast approaching and nominations are now open for both midweek Night Owls and Saturday afternoon (Glenelg and Western Districts) competitions. To nominate simply email the club at [email protected] with the competitions you would like to nominate for, including any preferred night of the week for Night Owls.
The summer Saturday season starts on 15 October and Night Owls will commence on Tuesday 11 October and Wednesday 12 October.

Winter Social Competition

Night Owls Social Tennis is back! Monday and Tuesday nights at 7pm, kicking off on 15 and 16 June.

Monday nights will be a mixed doubles format basically the same as we ran during the summer season, and which will start on Monday 15 June at 7pm. Cost is $5 per person per night.

Tuesday nights is still to be confirmed but likely to be a ‘Duos’ competition – two people per team and playing both doubles and singles matches. This will start on Tuesday 16 June and cost also $5 per person per night.

The club is of course observing all of the necessary COVID-19 precautions and we ask that all players do likewise by observing social distancing, washing your hands, not shaking hands, etc.

Nominations can be made by emailing the club ([email protected]).
