Kenwith Park Update

15 May 2020 |

Following announcements made by the State Government on Monday 11 May, Tennis Victoria on 12 May and discussion with City of Greater Geelong officers, Kenwith Park Tennis Club courts are now open to be used

Both courts may be used, with Club team training and coaching sessions being permitted in small groups, with a maximum of ten people (including coaches and parents) in the courts area at any given time. The
social distancing requirement of 1.5 metres apart must apply at all times. If parents wish to stay to watch they will be included in the ten people, but they should use the outside seats and exercise social distancing;

At this stage, there will be NO ACCESS to the Kenwith Park TC Club rooms and any items from the Club rooms ARE NOT to be used. Under special circumstances, the toilets can be made available as long as hygiene protocols can be observed. Players should bring their own filled drink bottles should they be required.

For social play, the same maximum of ten people in the courts area also applies, with social distancing to be followed. Bearing in mind that these are public courts, please be very aware of the protocols.

While on the court, there should be no interchanging of racquets or other equipment, no hand shaking or other physical contact;

Sanitation requirements-
As it is not practical to set up a sanitation station, Coaches should provide hand sanitiser for the use of pupils when conducting their coaching sessions. Social players should bring their own hand sanitiser and carry out their own personal sanitation before and after entry to the courts.

Your assistance in ensuring that we maintain these protocols is important to enabling us to continue with limited play/coaching. Overall, the safety of everyone is paramount, the crisis is not yet over and we must continue to be careful. Please may we work safely together.
