All Saints’ TC

Covid19 Update

14 May 2020 |

Dear Club members and associates,

Yesterday, an email and tool kit was received from Tennis Victoria regarding ” COVID 19 –  Return to Tennis ” and if you wish to read the whole group of documents via their link please let us know and details can be sent to you.

A summary of points which are most relevant to All Saints Tennis Club are as follows:-

Following announcements made by the State Government on Monday 11 May and by Tennis Victoria on 12 May, All Saints Tennis’ Club is able to re-open in a restricted manner.

Both courts may now be used, with coaching sessions permitted in small groups, with a maximum of ten people (including coaches and parents) in the courts area at any given time. The social distancing requirement of 1.5 metres apart must apply at all times. If parents wish to stay to watch they will be included in the ten people, but they should use the outside seats and exercise social distancing;

At this stage, access to the Club room will be limited to coaches and some Committee members only, so players and parents should NOT enter the Club room. Items from the Club room, including pick up tubes and witches hats are not to be used. Players should bring their own filled drink bottles should they be required. The drinks fridge will remain off at this stage;

For social play, the same maximum of ten people in the courts area also applies with social distancing to be followed; Currently, the lock code will remain as it was before the court closure. * See also note re sanitation.

If you intend to play socially, please advise Nigel BY TEXT MESSAGE on 0417 543 034 of the names of all who will be playing, before going on the courts. We need to keep a log of who has been on the courts.

While on the court, there should be no interchanging of racquets or other equipment, no hand shaking or other physical contact;

Sanitation requirements

A Sanitation Station has been set up at the main access gate, in front of the Club room. The hand sanitiser should be used when entering or leaving the gate.

* For members using the access gate near Moorak Park, we are requesting any prospective members, who wish to play socially, to bring their own hand sanitiser for use before and after entry.

Disinfectant wipes and paper towel are available in the Club room via a Coach.

There are signs which address access restrictions and sanitising requirements on display. If any prospective court users are suffering any cold or flu like symptoms, they must NOT under any circumstances enter the courts or surrounding area;

Anyone using the courts MUST ensure that the courts are locked behind them, so that we can maintain control of the environment.

Your assistance in ensuring that we maintain these protocols is important to enabling us to continue with limited play/coaching. Overall, the safety of everyone is paramount, the crisis is not yet over and we must continue to be careful. Please let us work safely together and please contact a Committee member if you have queries or problems.

FOR THOSE WHO INTEND PLAYING WINTER SEASON SENIOR, JUNIOR AND LADIES MID WEEK COMPETITIONS, THE UPDATE IS THAT THE LADIES HAVE RECEIVED ADVICE REGARDING TEAM ENTRIES, THIS IS IN ADDITION TO THAT ADVISED ON SUNDAY 10 MAY REGARDING THE JUNIOR GRADING TAKING PLACE NEXT SATURDAY 16 MAY. AFTER THIS, WE WILL THINK ABOUT ADDRESSING JUNIOR TRAINING.
