On Saturday 10 September, over 120 guests witnessed three tennis legends and 13 annual award winners take centre stage, as they were acknowledged for their achievements and contribution to tennis.<\/p>\n
Ken Willis<\/strong>, Wally Masur<\/strong> and Keith Carnall<\/strong> lead formalities, the first three people inducted to the inaugural Tennis ACT Walk of Fame<\/a>.<\/p>\n Now an annual element of the Tennis ACT annual awards, the Tennis ACT Walk of Fame<\/a> honors those whose exceptional contribution has brought recognition and esteem to tennis in the Australian Capital Territory.<\/p>\n Tennis ACT CEO, Ross Triffitt<\/strong>, said the awards\u00a0were an important part of the tennis community.<\/p>\n “The Walk of Fame project is a valuable representation of the past, present and future of tennis,” he said.<\/p>\n “The three inaugural inductees are individuals from three different eras that have made a significant contribution to Tennis in the ACT over the lifespan of the organisation. They are all great examples of the type of candidates we wish to honour as part of this permanent legacy,” Triffitt continued.<\/p>\n “The Tennis ACT annual awards celebrate and recognise high achievement in our sport,” he said.\u00a0“Not only that, the categories represent all aspects of our game.
