{"id":7700,"date":"2015-10-30T22:01:08","date_gmt":"2015-10-30T11:01:08","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.tennis.com.au\/act\/?p=7700"},"modified":"2015-10-30T22:08:30","modified_gmt":"2015-10-30T11:08:30","slug":"morogiannis-and-eames-line-up-for-canberra-international","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.tennis.com.au\/act\/news\/2015\/10\/30\/morogiannis-and-eames-line-up-for-canberra-international","title":{"rendered":"Morogiannis and Eames line up for Canberra International"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>ACT&#8217;s\u00a0Dimitri Morogiannis and Jake Eames will contest qualifying at the Canberra International on Saturday 31 October.\u00a0 The USD$50,000 ATP Challenger event will be held at the Canberra Tennis Centre from October 31 to November 8.<\/p>\n<p>16 year old, Morogiannis has been in good form recently after taking out the title at the Canberra Junior International ITF event in early October.\u00a0 He also made the quarter finals of the 16&#8217;s nationals, and won the doubles title with Thomas Bosancic.\u00a0 Morogiannis will face number 5 seed, Daniel Hobart from South\u00a0Australia\u00a0in the first round of qualifying.\u00a0 Hobart is currently ranked ATP 1018 and will provide a tough test for Morogiannis.<\/p>\n<p>Eames, who has been injured for the majority of 2015 will be looking to regain the form that took him to a career high ATP ranking of 695 in late 2014.\u00a0 After making it through to the final round of qualifying the past 2 weeks, Eames will be looking to go one better this week.\u00a0 As the number 6 seed in qualifying, Eames has a first round bye and will face the winner of Scott Puodziunas and wildcard, Brian Tran.<\/p>\n<p>The men\u2019s and women\u2019s Canberra International events form part of the Australian Pro Tour, which provides local and international players the ideal lead-in to the domestic summer of tennis.<\/p>\n<p>Women&#8217;s qualifying will commence on Sunday 1 November.<\/p>\n<p>Entry to the Canberra Tennis Centre is free.<\/p>\n<p>Saturday 31 October &#8211; Schedule of Play<\/p>\n<p><strong>CENTRE start 10:00 am<\/strong><br \/>\nQualifying &#8211; [1] S.
