\"Jimmy<\/a><\/p>\n

The ACT Junior Challenge and White AMT was held at the Canberra Tennis Centre from the 23rd-26th of April.\u00a0 Players from NSW, VIC, SA, and the ACT participated in the Bronze Junior Tour event and White AMT.\u00a0 A number of Canberra players performed well, with locals taking out 6 titles.<\/p>\n

In the AMT Men’s singles, Canberra player James Frawley defeated Jay Laginestra in the final 7-5, 6-1.\u00a0 The Men’s doubles final was a battle of the locals with Jake Okines and Yuki Okamoto defeating Jack Fuller and Daniel Green.\u00a0 In the AMT Women’s event, ACT’s Chorlida Kang had a great tournament, defeating the number 2 and 9 seeds on her way to the final.\u00a0 In a closely contested final, Kang was beaten by Alya Kalachova 7-5, 6-4.\u00a0 In the AMT Women’s Doubles, Monique Burton and Charlotte Littlejohn were too strong for locals Annerly Poulos and Leah Williamson.<\/p>\n

In the junior events, 3 ACT players won their respective singles events.\u00a0 In the 12 girls singles, Alysssa Simoncini won an all ACT final defeating Lejla Hajdar in a close 3 set match.\u00a0 Erik Chen and Jimmy Fu, battled it out in the 12 boys singles with Chen coming out on top.\u00a0 Jamieson Nathan won the 16 boys singles in straight sets against fellow Canberran Zac Donalson.\u00a0 Stephanie Pang made the final of the 16 girls singles, losing to Phillipa Davis from NSW, while Matina Ujdur lost the closest final of the tournament going down to Charlie Hargreaves 3-6, 6-4, 7-6 in the 14 girls singles.\u00a0\u00a0In the 14 Boys singles Martin Dreyer defeated Nikola Ivaneza.<\/p>\n

In the doubles events,\u00a0Canberra’s Ellie Koundouris and Annerly Poulos\u00a0won the 12 girls doubles, while Erik Chen and Jimmy Fu\u00a0made the final of the 12 boys.<\/p>\n
