This is the big chance for any Canberra tennis player over the age of 35 to be involved.\u00a0 These events will be in Canberra in January 2015.\u00a0 The Teams Carnival is from 5-9 January and the Individual Championships from 11-16 January.<\/p>\n
Join us for a week of competitive but social tennis at the Australian Teams Carnival.\u00a0\u00a0The Australian Teams Carnival is a wonderful opportunity to compete against teams and players from all over Australia and overseas.\u00a0 If there are sufficient teams, there will be more than one section in each age group so you play players of your own standard.<\/p>\n
The teams are made up of 4-6 players in 5 year age groups \u2013 35, 40, 45, 50, 55, 60, 65, 70, 75 and 80.\u00a0 Teams will get up to 8 matches during the first week.\u00a0 Teams play up to two matches per day, morning and afternoon, with a time limit of 2.5 hours per match.\u00a0 Matches consist of 4 doubles rubbers played on two courts.\u00a0 Each rubber consists of two sets or 9 games for the 75 and 80 age groups.<\/p>\n
Team members play in matching State shirts or tops and shorts and skirts.<\/p>\n
