{"id":5573,"date":"2013-11-06T19:27:06","date_gmt":"2013-11-06T09:27:06","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.tennis.com.au\/act\/?p=5573"},"modified":"2013-11-06T19:27:06","modified_gmt":"2013-11-06T09:27:06","slug":"velocity-men-hoping-to-bolt-in","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.tennis.com.au\/act\/news\/2013\/11\/06\/velocity-men-hoping-to-bolt-in","title":{"rendered":"Velocity men hoping to bolt in"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>AIS Scholarship holder Alex Bolt will headline the ACT men\u2019s team in the Asia-Pacific Tennis League (ATL) against Sydney Uni Lions in Sydney on Friday, November 8.<\/p>\n<p>Bolt, ranked 361 in the world, will lead the team consisting of Jake Eames, James Frawley, Robert Howe and former professional Alun Jones.<\/p>\n<p>The 20-year-old left-hander from South Australia shares the same coach as Canberra\u2019s Nick Kyrgios, who will miss Velocity\u2019s first match due to an elbow injury.<\/p>\n<p>The men\u2019s team, who had a first round bye today, will open their 2013 campaign in the second round against Steven Goh, Kris Balakrishnan, Alex Silcock and Jurek Stasiak.<\/p>\n<p>With the ATL format being the first to four games, team player\/manager Todd Larkham says the victor will be the person who comes out firing from the start.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIn this format, anything can happen,\u201d Larkham says. \u201cIt will be a tough tie.
