\"\"<\/a>The 2012 Tennis ACT Annual Awards were held on Saturday 1st September. The Tennis Community gathered together to celebrate the past year of Tennis, recognising hard working, tireless and dedicated volunteers, enthusiastic and driven coaches, determined and inclusive players, Tennis mentors and reliable officials.<\/p>\n

The following awards were presented on the night:<\/p>\n

2012 Official of the Year is Emma Walter<\/strong>, awarded for her outstanding contribution to officiating through dedication, skill, attitude and knowledge.<\/p>\n

Mark Crawley the president of Tennis ACT Officials accepted the award on her behalf as Emma was in Rockhampton officiating at a pro tour.<\/p>\n

2012 Junior Club Player of the Year is Adam Bradley<\/strong>, awarded because of participation and involvement within the club, positive and commendable attitude.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

2012 Adult Club Player of the Year is Tony Winston<\/strong>, awarded for participation and involvement within their club, positive and commendable attitude.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

2012 35+ Player of the Year is Ros Balodis<\/strong>, awarded for continued involvement in 35+ seniors over a prolonged period of time.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

2012 Junior High Performance Player of the Year is Nick Krygios<\/strong>, awarded for current Australian ranking, tournament participation and positive and commendable attitude.<\/p>\n

Nick currently competing in the Canadian Junior Open Championships singles,\u00a0this is the lead up event to the US Open Juniors. Good luck Nick.<\/p>\n

2012 High Performance Coach of the Year is Todd Larkham<\/strong>, awarded on the quality of the high performance program provided, hard work and reliability.<\/p>\n

Todd was unable to attend on the night as he was in Rockhampton for an ITF Hard Court tournament.<\/p>\n

2012 MLC Tennis Hot Shots Coach of the Year is Frank Calabria<\/strong>, awarded because of the quality of the program delivered and the participation numbers within the program.<\/p>\n

2012 Cardio Tennis Coach of the Year is Kristine Price,<\/strong> awarded because of the quality of the program delivered and the participation numbers within the program.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

2012 Club Coach of the Year is Owen Peemoeller<\/strong>, awarded because of the quality and variety of coaching programs delivered and level of active involvement within the club.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

2012 Volunteer of the Year is Jean Penny<\/strong>, awarded for demonstrated achievement, role in club management and enthusiasm within the club on a purely volunteer basis.<\/p>\n

Emma Prime, a\u00a0fellow committee member at Melba Tennis Club\u00a0accepted the award on Jean’s behalf<\/p>\n

In recognition of exceptional contribution as a volunteer to their Tennis club and the wider Tennis community the following people were recognised,<\/p>\n

Julie Howe of Melba Tennis Club<\/strong><\/strong><\/p>\n

\nJill Circosta of Yarralumla Tennis Club<\/strong><\/p>\n

2012 Tennis Club of the Year is Melba Tennis Club<\/strong>, awarded as a result of direct customer feedback and membership retention and growth, enthusiasm as a club, commitment to embracing change and hard working committee.<\/p>\n

Sue Cowie the President of Melba Tennis Club accepted the award on behalf of the club<\/p>\n
