The ACT Boys Team captured\u00a0the 2026 NSW 12\/U State Teams Championship, while ACT\u2019s Ashleigh Simes made a breakthrough on the Pro Tour, reaching her first career ITF final.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"elementtoproof\" style=\"line-height: 13.2pt;background: white;margin: 12.0pt 0cm 12.0pt 0cm\"><span style=\"font-family: 'Arial',sans-serif;color: black\">The ACT Boys Team,\u00a0Jairus Dass, Odin Stroud, Lindsay Grave, and Bon Johansen, coached and managed by\u00a0Lachlan Rowing, claimed the\u00a0championship title at the NSW 12\/U State Teams Championships held at Bathurst Tennis Club on March 21\u201322. The win marks\u00a0only the third time an ACT team has claimed this honour,\u00a0in a dominant display of skill and teamwork\u00a0and underscoring the strength of the territory\u2019s junior tennis programs.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"elementtoproof\" style=\"line-height: 13.2pt;background: white;margin: 12.0pt 0cm 12.0pt 0cm\"><span style=\"font-family: 'Arial',sans-serif;color: black\">Meanwhile, the ACT Girls Team\u00a0impressed, finishing\u00a0third overall. Celeste Rubiano, Ksenia\u00a0Arutyunova, Alicia Yang, and Alexandria\u00a0Lindrud, guided by\u00a0coach\/manager Sarina Kang, displayed skill and determination. Celeste Rubiano\u2019s outstanding effort was recognised with the Compete Award, celebrating her determination and sportsmanship throughout the tournament.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"elementtoproof\" style=\"line-height: 13.2pt;background: white;margin: 12.0pt 0cm 12.0pt 0cm\"><span style=\"font-family: 'Arial',sans-serif;color: black\">Adding to ACT\u2019s weekend of success,\u00a023-year-old\u00a0Ashleigh Simes\u00a0delivered a breakout performance on the Australian Pro Tour at the Wodonga International, reaching her first career ITF final.\u00a0Simes, who\u00a0represented\u00a0the ACT in this year\u2019s AO 1 Point Slam, did not drop a set during her run, including a notable opening\u00a0round victory over the No.2 seed, Monique Barry of New Zealand.
