With increased quality and volume of local, state and national GB events, Super 10s for 2026 will look slightly different in its overall design and delivery.<\/p>\n<p>This evolution reflects a deliberate shift to ensure Super 10s complements\u2014rather than competes with\u2014Green Ball competition. Moving forward, the focus is on clearer role definition across the pathway, where:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li role=\"presentation\">Green Ball events provide the primary competition platform.<\/li>\n<li role=\"presentation\">Super 10s prioritises high-quality player development training, learning environments and targeted match-play experiences that support\u2014rather than duplicate\u2014the competition calendar.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The overarching goal is to create a more coherent, sustainable and developmentally aligned pathway that balances training, competition and progression for young athletes.<\/p>\n<h2>Integration with the National Green Ball Pathway<\/h2>\n<p>Super 10s will sit alongside a structured national Green Ball pathway, supporting smoother transitions and stronger alignment between training and competition:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li role=\"presentation\">Green Ball State Series &amp; Race \u2013 Greater Talent Team and State Head Coach presence at key Green Ball events, including State Series events, State Finals and Green Ball Nationals.<\/li>\n<li role=\"presentation\">Individualised tournament scheduling support \u2013 The Tennis Australia Talent Team can work collaboratively with families and private coaches to recommend a tailored tournament schedule for athletes, incorporating local, state and national events in a way that supports long-term development.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2>New Green Ball State Camps and State of Origin Event<\/h2>\n<p>To strengthen development opportunities across the year, new Green Ball State Camps will be introduced along with State of Origin challenges against other states and their Super 10&#8217;s players:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li role=\"presentation\">Up to Six Super 10s State Camps across Terms 1\u20133 (2026)<\/li>\n<li role=\"presentation\">Designed to progressively build toward Green Ball Nationals in November 2026 and the National Super 10s AO National Camp in January 2027.<\/li>\n<li role=\"presentation\">State of Origin event (dates TBA)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<div><\/div>\n<div dir=\"ltr\">\n<hr \/>\n<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<h2><strong><br \/>\nSuper 10&#8217;s Selection Criteria<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p><strong>Participation in Super 10\u2019s is via invitation only. <\/strong>Players must regsiter their interest in order to be eligible for selection. Players may be asked to attend a \u201cSuper 10\u2019s Challenge Day\u201d to heighten their chance of selection, particularly if they have insufficient competition exposure or results. If this relates to you, you will be notified via email after registering your interest. After a player registers their expression of interest to participate in Super 10&#8217;s, anyone required to join a trial session to assist their chance of selection will be contacted via email.<\/p>\n<p>Trial sessions will be used for players who don&#8217;t already have sufficient results from previous green ball competitive events and who also meet the below &#8220;guidelines for participation&#8221;.<\/p>\n<h2><strong><br \/>\n\u201cCHALLENGE DAY\u201d \u2013 Guidelines for participation<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>To be eligable for a Challenge Day Trial players must meet the following requirements and competencies:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><em><strong>Is at least 8 years of age<\/strong>*<\/em><\/li>\n<li><em><strong>Has played at least 12 recorded green ball matches<\/strong> over the past 12 months (JDS, RMS or CTL)<\/em><\/li>\n<li><em><strong>Have a \u201cGreen 2\u201d<\/strong>\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/aus01.safelinks.protection.outlook.com\/?url=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.universaltennis.com%2Fpages%2Fcolor-ball&amp;data=05%7C01%7CNPrice%40Tennis.com.au%7Ca0a3b1e34de54f03ea2a08dbc66377ac%7C61aa9c8da7734a7c84701dd8062e404a%7C0%7C0%7C638321902725094530%7CUnknown%7CTWFpbGZsb3d8eyJWIjoiMC4wLjAwMDAiLCJQIjoiV2luMzIiLCJBTiI6Ik1haWwiLCJXVCI6Mn0%3D%7C3000%7C%7C%7C&amp;sdata=aMlQkEkOoRUt7IdqorKXbA%2B10XvcGFTbDgd2jWJgeWg%3D&amp;reserved=0\">Universal Tennis Colour Ball Rating<\/a><\/em><\/li>\n<li><em>Can rally at least 10 shots up and down the middle of the court.<\/em><\/li>\n<li><em>Competent at serving the ball in with at least a 50% success rate.<\/em><\/li>\n<li><em>Competent at hitting topspin forehand and backhands\u00a0<\/em><\/li>\n<li><em>Is able to move the ball around the court with purpose.<\/em><\/li>\n<li><em>Has a good attitude on court by showing respect to the game and their opponent.<\/em><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>If unsure, please speak with your child\u2019s private coach to assess whether the players stage of development is appropriate.<\/p>\n<p>*If a player is exceptionally advanced and under the age of 8 years, you may request an exception from this rule by contacting the ACT Talent Development Manager &#8211;
