Bai signed racquets"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Over 100 kindergarten students from <strong>Holy Spirit Catholic Primary School<\/strong> have received a brand new tennis racquet, signed by the ACT\u2019s top male and female player, <strong>Nick Kyrgios <\/strong>and <strong>Alison Bai<\/strong>, as part of the <strong>ANZ Tennis Hot Shots Racquet Roadshow<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>The fourth edition of the ANZ Tennis Hot Shots Racquet Roadshow has a virtual twist this year, with Kyrgios and Bai also providing a video message to the students, along with a Q &amp; A session conducted with Australian tennis legend, <strong>Todd Woodbridge.\u00a0 <\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The Holy Spirit students received the signed racquets yesterday, with Primary Coordinator, <strong>James Farrell<\/strong> saying the kids were extremely excited.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cYou could see they were over the moon about it, and I think there will be kids in kindergarten who\u2019ve taken up lessons who will love to take home their own racquet that\u2019s got somebody famous on it.\u201d<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"500\" data-dnt=\"true\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">Over 100 lucky kindergarten kids from Holy Spirit Catholic Primary School have received a brand new tennis racquet, signed by the ACT&#39;s top male and female player, <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/NickKyrgios?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">@NickKyrgios<\/a> and Alison Bai as part of the <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/ANZ_AU?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">@ANZ_AU<\/a> Tennis Hot Shots Racquet Roadshow.  <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/hashtag\/RacquetRoadshow?src=hash&amp;ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">#RacquetRoadshow<\/a> <a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/GhoQ9Zk5Nq\">pic.twitter.com\/GhoQ9Zk5Nq<\/a><\/p>\n<p>&mdash; tennisact (@TennisCanberra) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/TennisCanberra\/status\/1308929609891708936?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">September 24, 2020<\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><script async src=\"https:\/\/platform.twitter.com\/widgets.js\" charset=\"utf-8\"><\/script><\/p>\n<p>The school has been running the tennis program for over six years with their own dedicated ANZ Tennis Hot Shots courts.\u00a0 The kids will have the chance to test out their new racquets with kindergarten set to participate in tennis in Term 4, along with Year 3.<\/p>\n<p>An additional 660 students from 14 schools across the ACT will also receive brand new racquets as part of the initiative from <strong>ANZ<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>This initiative to introduce more kids to tennis comes as reports continued to be released about declining levels of activity in children.\u00a0 These racquets will help get kids moving at school, home and in the community.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThere are so many skills that kids can develop at a young age by playing tennis, regardless of whether that\u2019s on the court, in their backyard or even in their lounge room,\u201d said Australian tennis legend <strong>Todd Woodbridge<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cOur partnership with ANZ will give another 760 kids across the ACT the opportunity to get active and lead a healthy lifestyle,\u201d Tennis ACT CEO, <strong>Kim Kachel<\/strong> said.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cTennis Australia\u2019s partnership with ANZ has helped us to put more racquets in children\u2019s hand than ever before.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe\u2019re really proud of our continued support of tennis at a grassroots level, encouraging Australians to get active and look after their wellbeing,\u201d said Katherine Bray, Managing Director Retail at ANZ.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cOver the past five years this partnership with Tennis Australia has delivered racquets to thousands of communities across the country, helping young kids to get involved in community sports like tennis.\u201d<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"Alison Bai and Nick Kyrgios Q &amp;
