{"id":15553,"date":"2019-10-30T13:00:56","date_gmt":"2019-10-30T02:00:56","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.tennis.com.au\/act\/?p=15553"},"modified":"2019-11-12T12:50:48","modified_gmt":"2019-11-12T01:50:48","slug":"community-tennis-day-to-launch-summer-of-tennis","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.tennis.com.au\/act\/news\/2019\/10\/30\/community-tennis-day-to-launch-summer-of-tennis","title":{"rendered":"Kyrgios to visit Community Tennis Day"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>Community Tennis Day <\/strong>will officially kick start the summer tennis season in Canberra on Saturday 2 November at the Canberra Tennis Centre.\u00a0 The event will launch the <strong>Apis Canberra International 2020, <\/strong>and offer a host of free tennis activities for both children and adults.\u00a0 The first 100 children aged 18 or under through the gates will receive a free tennis racquet to help start their tennis journey.<\/p>\n<p>The ACT\u2019s top ranked player <strong>Nick Kyrgios<\/strong>, will be on site with the <strong>NK Foundation <\/strong>and to have a hit with kids, with the world No.30 looking forward to the event.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI love being back home in Canberra and always enjoy the opportunity to get involved in the local tennis community.\u00a0 I\u2019d encourage people to come down to the Canberra Tennis Centre and get out on court.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt\u2019s also a great opportunity to create awareness in the community around the work we are doing with the NK Foundation.\u00a0 I\u2019m really passionate about helping disadvantaged children and families.
