Myles Emery has taken out his maiden Men\u2019s singles title at the ACT Residents Championships held at the Canberra Tennis Centre from 14-16 December.<\/p>\n

Emery went undefeated in singles play throughout the tournament, winning the final 6-3 over top seed Michael Bruen.\u00a0 Emery was pleased with his form throughout the event and honoured to win the event.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt was fantastic to win all my matches without dropping a service game all tournament as well.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cThis tournament has a very rich history dating back to 1933 so I’m humbled to go on the winners list and honour roll.\u201d<\/p>\n

The weekend featured over 80 players competing across 12 events including open, junior and senior categories.<\/p>\n

In the Men\u2019s Resident\u2019s Doubles Tom Laudenbach and Sean Thomas defeated Tim Harris and Neville Rodwell.<\/p>\n

Jason Duff took out the A Grade Men\u2019s singles, while Sue Willis (35 & 50+) and Tony Winston (50+) also claimed singles victories in their respective divisions.<\/p>\n

In the junior events, Chevonne Van Rensburg (14\/u & 16\/u) Kiran Myutel-Mansur (14\/u), Alisha Kumar (10\/u & 12\/u), and Alejandro Fisher (10\/u) won singles titles in their age group.<\/p>\n

Tournament director Jake Lalliard was pleased with how the weekend went.<\/p>\n
