I\u2019m really looking forward to doing well this year.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe courts play a little bit faster and conditions can be tough with the wind but I feel that\u2019s good for me. I can adapt to it and it suits my game.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The teenage Queenslander has enjoyed a memorable run in Asia recently, reaching her maiden WTA quarterfinal in Guangzhou and then backing it up in Hong Kong \u2013 where she lost an epic battle to Daria Gavrilova \u2013 and rising to a career-high ranking of world No.134.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cMentally I\u2019m feeling really good,\u201d she said. \u201cI\u2019ve been playing a lot at WTA level and I\u2019ve gained a lot of experience.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI feel like I\u2019m moving a lot better and the ball is coming out a little bit bigger.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Coming into Canberra as the No.2 seed, Cabrera understands that her profile is significantly larger than where she was twelve months ago, and external expectations will accordingly rise.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI think there\u2019s always pressure,\u201d she said. \u201cI just work hard and do my thing, and keep focusing on the process rather than the outcome.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Cabrera will open her Canberra campaign against <strong>Tammi Patterson<\/strong> with a potential quarterfinal against Japan\u2019s No.8 seed <strong>Erika Sema<\/strong> in the offing.
